Spasrid Tablets are antispasmodic agents that work on smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal and urogenital pathways, relieving pain associated with muscle spasms.

Dosage:

Side Effects:
Constipation
Transient bradycardia (may be followed by tachycardia, palpitations, and arrhythmias)
Reduced bronchial secretions
Urinary urgency and retention
Dilation of pupils with loss of accommodation
Photophobia
Dry mouth
Flushing and dryness of the skin
Occasionally: confusion (especially in the elderly), nausea, vomiting, and giddiness
Very rarely: angle-closure glaucoma
Drug Interactions:
May interact with amantadine, atenolol, digoxin, phenothiazines, and tricyclic antidepressants.
Indication:
Spasm associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Spasm associated with diarrhea and dysentery
Renal colic
Biliary colic
Dysmenorrhea
Delayed labor
When Not to Use:
Do not use if hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

Precaution:
Avoid using phloroglucinol in combination with major painkillers such as morphine or its derivatives due to their spasmogenic effect.
Spasrid Tablets Warnings:
Warning 1:
Use with caution in individuals with Down’s syndrome, children, and the elderly.
Warning 2:
Exercise caution in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), diarrhea, and ulcerative colitis.
Warning 3:
Use with caution in cases of acute myocardial infarction, hypertension, and conditions characterized by tachycardia (including hyperthyroidism, cardiac insufficiency, and cardiac surgery).
