How It Works:
Sodium picosulphate is an oral stool-softening laxative. Once ingested, it is metabolized by colonic bacteria into an active compound that stimulates the mucosa of the large intestine, inducing peristalsis. It typically takes 6-12 hours to be effective.

Precaution:
Frequent use of laxatives should be under medical supervision, and the cause of chronic constipation should be investigated.
Skilax Tablets Warnings:
Warning 1:
Prolonged excessive use may lead to fluid and electrolyte imbalances, hypokalemia, and may cause rebound constipation.
Warning 2:
Not recommended for children under 10 years of age without medical advice.
