How It Works:
Qpro Capsules contain lansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid production by inhibiting the proton pump in gastric parietal cells.
Qpro Capsules Usage and Safety:
Dosage: Lansoprazole
Side Effects:
Common: Headache, dizziness, tiredness, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, nausea, wind, dry or sore mouth/throat, skin rash, itching, benign polyps in the stomach.
Less Common: Joint or muscle pain, fluid retention or swelling, changes in liver function tests, changes in blood cell counts, fracture of the hip, wrist, or spine.
Drug Interactions:
Atazanavir, nelfinavir, methotrexate, ketoconazole, itraconazole, rifampicin, digoxin, warfarin, theophylline, tacrolimus, fluvoxamine, antacids, sucralfate.
Indication:
Treatment of duodenal and stomach ulcers
Treatment and prevention of reflux esophagitis
When Not to Use:
If allergic to lansoprazole or any of its components.

Warning 1:
An endoscopy may be needed to diagnose your condition or rule out malignant disease.
Warning 2:
Contact your doctor immediately if you experience diarrhea during treatment, as there is a small risk of infectious diarrhea associated with PPIs.
Warning 3:
Long-term use of PPIs like lansoprazole may increase the risk of fractures in the hip, wrist, or spine. Inform your doctor if you have osteoporosis or are taking corticosteroids, which may further increase the risk.
