Dosage: Lansoprazole
Side Effects:
Common: Headache, dizziness, tiredness, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, nausea, flatulence, dry or sore mouth, skin rash, itching.
Uncommon: Changes in liver function, benign stomach polyps, joint or muscle pain, fluid retention, changes in blood cell counts, risk of hip, wrist, or spine fractures.
Drug Interactions: Caution with atazanavir, nelfinavir, methotrexate, ketoconazole, itraconazole, rifampicin, digoxin, warfarin, theophylline, tacrolimus, fluvoxamine, antacids, sucralfate.
Indication: Lansoprazole is prescribed for treating duodenal and stomach ulcers, inflammation of the esophagus (reflux esophagitis), and preventing reflux esophagitis.
When not to Use: Do not use if allergic to lansoprazole or any of its ingredients.
