Uses
This medicine is used to treat simple infections of the urinary tract (acute cystitis) in females, as well as other infections induced by susceptible bacteria.
Dosage
The recommended dose is:
- Adult Dosage
Typically, a single dose of 3,000 mg (3 grams) is prescribed for uncomplicated urinary tract infections. However, strictly adhere to your doctor’s recommendations.
- Child Dosage
For children aged 2 to 12, the usual dosage is based on weight: approximately 126 mg/kg (up to a maximum of 3,000 mg) in a single dose, strictly under medical supervision.
In case of Overdose
Seek medical help if you think you have taken too much of this medicine.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don’t remember missing the dose, don’t double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.
How To Use
Swallow the Fosfomycin capsule with water. Swallow the capsule as a whole, do not crush, chew, or break the capsule. Do not stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.
