What is it prescribed for?
- Duodenal Ulcer
Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s is used to prevent and relieve the symptoms of ulcers caused in the upper parts of the small intestine.
- Gastric Ulcer
Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s is used to prevent and relieve the symptoms of ulcers caused in the food pipe and stomach.
- NSAID induced ulcers
Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s is used to prevent and treat ulcers caused due to use of non-steroidal pain medications like diclofenac, ibuprofen etc.
- Induction of labor
Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s is used to induce labor in pregnant women. Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s is used to induce labor in pregnant women.
- Postpartum bleeding
Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s is also used to prevent and treat bleeding that happens after delivery.
- Cervical ripening
Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s is also used for relaxing and softening the cervix prior to the onset of labor contractions.
- Termination of pregnancy
Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s is also used to terminate or abort a pregnancy which is less than 49 days. It is used in combination with other medications and requires a doctor’s supervision for the process to happen efficiently.
When not to use?
Pregnancy
This medicine should not be used to treat ulcers caused by the uptake of non-steroidal pain medication or otherwise by pregnant women. It can cause birth defects, abortions, uterine rupture etc.
Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a history of allergy to it or any other medicine which are prostaglandin analogues.
Warnings
Pregnancy
Use of this medicine for the treatment of ulcers is not recommended for pregnant women as the risk of birth defects, abortion and other abnormalities are very high. All women of childbearing potential are advised to use adequate means of contraception while using this medicine.
Breast-feeding
This medicine is should be used with caution in women who are breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Bacterial infections
Use of this medicine has been reported to cause bacterial infections in some patients. Any instance of infection after using this medicine should be informed to the doctor.
Excessive bleeding
Use of this medicine has been associated with excessive bleeding in some patients and hence any such instance should be reported to the doctor.
Uterine rupture
This medicine has been associated with cases of uterine rupture when used for labor induction in some cases. Caution is advised while using this medicine if the patient is in the late thirties and beyond or the delivery is cesarean.
Diarrhea
Use of this medicine can cause diarrhea and hence should not be coadministered with other diarrhea causing medications.
Severe anemia
Use of this medicine is not recommended for women with severe anemia.
Other disease
The safety and efficacy of this medicine is not established for patients suffering from heart disease, diabetes, kidney impairment or respiratory disease. Hence, caution is advised in such cases.
Use in smokkers
This medicine should be used with caution in patients who are heavy smokers as the risk of adverse effects is significantly higher.
Use in pregnancy
This medicine can cause birth defects, abortions and other serious complications if given to pregnant women. Hence, use of this medicine for treatment or prevention of ulcers is not recommended. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy in near future.

Dosage
- Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped.
- Overdose
Contact a doctor immediately if an overdose is suspected. Symptoms of overdose may include sleepiness, diarrhea, severe stomach pain and cramps, fever, decreased pulse etc.
General Instructions
Take Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s as instructed by the doctor. This medicine is usually taken with meals before bedtime. An adequate amount of water should be consumed while taking this medicine. Certain temporary side effects like nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain are likely in the first few days after you start taking this medicine. Consult your doctor if these symptoms last for more than a week.

what are the adverse effects of Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s?
Diarrhoea (may occasionally be severe and require withdrawal, reduced by giving single doses not exceeding 200 mcg and by avoiding magnesium-containing antacids); abdominal pain, dyspepsia, flatulence, nausea and vomiting, abnormal vaginal bleeding (including intermenstrual bleeding, menorrhagia and post-menopausal bleeding), rashes, dizziness.
What happens if I miss a dose of Breeky tablet 200 mcg 10’s?
Adults: Benign gastric and duodenal ulceration and NSAID associated ulceration: 800 mcg daily in 2-4 divided doses with breakfast or main meals and at bedtime; treatment should be continued for at least 4 wk and may be continued for up to 8 wk if required. Prophylaxis of NSAID-induced gastric and duodenal ulcer: 200 mcg 4 times daily (if not tolerated, reduced to 200 mcg 2-3 times daily, but less effective). Children: Not recommended.
