Mechanism of action: Linezolid Is An Oxazolidinone Antibiotic That Works By Inhibiting Bacterial Protein Synthesis.

Indications:  Treatment Of Community-Acquired Pneumonia And Nosocomial Pneumonia When Known Or Suspected To Be Caused By Susceptible Gram-Positive Bacteria. Treatment Of Complicated Skin And Soft Tissue Infections Only When Microbiological Testing Has Established That The Infection Is Known To Be Caused By Susceptible Gram-Positive Bacteria.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity To Linezolid Or Any Of The Other Product Components.Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor (Maoi) Therapy Or Within 14 Days Of Discontinuing Maoi Therapy.

Side Effects:

Common Side Effects Include Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Headache, And Dizziness. Serious Side Effects Include Serotonin Syndrome, Lactic Acidosis, And Bone Marrow Suppression.
