• Acidic foods (like citrus fruits, tomatoes, and vinegar) can counteract the effects of Mucaine by increasing stomach acidity. Avoid these foods around the time of taking the medication.
• Spicy foods can irritate the stomach lining and exacerbate symptoms. It’s generally a good idea to avoid spicy foods when using this medication.
• Fatty foods can slow down gastric emptying and may increase stomach discomfort. Limit consumption of fried or greasy foods.
• Alcohol can increase stomach acid production and irritate the gastrointestinal tract, potentially reducing the effectiveness of Mucaine.
• Caffeinated beverages (like coffee) can also increase stomach acid and might interfere with the medication’s action.
