How it works

Sertaconazole is used to treat infections caused by a fungus. It works by killing the fungus or yeast or preventing its growth. Sertaconazole is applied to your skin to treat athlete’s foot (tinea pedis).

Sertazol Cream Precautions

Precaution

Inform your doctor if the area of application shows signs of increased skin irritation, redness, itching, burning, blistering, swelling or oozing. It is very important that you check with your doctor in 2 weeks if your symptoms are not improving or if your conditions become worse.

Sertazol Cream Warnings

Warning 1

This medicine has been tested in children and has not been shown to cause different side effects or problems than it does in adults. This medicine is to be used in children 12 years of age and older.

Warning 2

If your skin condition has not gotten better after 4 weeks, or if it returns when you stop using this medicine, see your doctor or health care professional. You may have a skin infection that does not respond to this medicine.

Warning 3

Do not wear socks made from wool or synthetic materials such as rayon or nylon. Instead, wear clean cotton socks and change them daily or more often if your feet sweat frequently. Also, try to wear sandals or shoes that are well-ventilated.
