How it Works: Lansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, reduces stomach acid production by blocking the proton pump, thereby alleviating symptoms associated with acidity and ulcers.
Inhibitol Capsules Usage and Safety
Dosage: Follow prescribed dosage of Lansoprazole.
Side Effects:
Common: Headache, dizziness, tiredness, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, nausea/vomiting, gas, dry or sore mouth/throat, skin rash, itching.
Uncommon: Changes in liver function tests, benign stomach polyps, joint or muscle pain, fluid retention or swelling, changes in blood cell counts, fractures of the hip, wrist, or spine.
Drug Interactions: Caution with Atazanavir, nelfinavir, methotrexate, ketoconazole, itraconazole, rifampicin, digoxin, warfarin, theophylline, tacrolimus, fluvoxamine, antacids, and sucralfate.
Indication: Used for the treatment of duodenal and stomach ulcers, inflammation of the esophagus (reflux esophagitis), and prevention of reflux esophagitis.
When Not to Use: Do not use if allergic to Lansoprazole or any other ingredients in the medicine.
